A duo of ingredients to produce drinks that support uric acid lowering

Gout is a form of arthritis that appears when serum urate salt levels accumulate at high concentrations, expressed as uric acid levels in blood tests exceeding the threshold. Gout is manifested by signs of swelling, heat, redness, and severe pain in the joints. The current treatment regimen is a combination of drugs including: pain relief, anti-inflammation, and uric acid lowering. However, everyone knows that medicine is a double-edged sword, with more or less side effects. Current complementary products are aimed at drinking water that has the effect of lowering blood uric acid and can be used to replace daily drinking water and also have a complementary effect in treating diseases. The uric acid-lowering ingredients that are prioritized for selection in food and beverage production usually must have good solubility, have clear uses, and make the drinker feel fragrant and delicious.

Celery seed extract

Celery is a vegetable often used in cooking or making detox drinks for the body. The parts commonly used are usually the stem and leaves. In medicine, celery seed extract contains more than 10 types of antioxidants that help lower uric acid in the blood, preventing the accumulation of urate crystals that cause gout in humans.

The clinical study was conducted at Kovai Medical Center, India. The study was conducted with 70 patients over a three-week period using 75mg of phthalides contained in Celery seed (Celery 3nB) twice daily for 3 weeks. Of the 70 people who participated in the trial, 12 did not complete the study.
